Ever since my parents bought me a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) gaming console as a child, I've been hooked on computer and video games. The ever first game I remember playing is Super Mario, the game that came with the NES.

Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)

This was the first experience with games that I can remember. I don't remember exactly which year I got one, but I believe it was around 1988–1990. It came with the game Super Mario Bros. Even though I don't remember very exact when this happened, I remember quite clearly the day I got the console. Or rather, I remember clearly the evening it was brought into our house. I particularly remember a scene from the game in level 3-1. Amusing.

We never really had many games for this console. These are the ones we had:

  • Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers
  • Ducktales
  • NES Open Tournament Golf
  • <Some other golf game I don't currently remember the name of>
  • RC Pro Am
  • Super Mario. Bros
  • Super Mario. Bros 3
  • The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants

Of the above, my top three favorites were Super Mario Bros. 3, Ducktales and Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers.

Sega Mega Drive

I don't have a clue when I got this console, but what I do remember is that I got it because my cousin's parents decided that it would be better if he didn't have access to a game console due to homework or something. I don't really remember why, but we were given the console. It came with three games:

  • FIFA Soccer 95
  • PGA Tour Golf
  • Sonic the Hedgehog

Later, I had my parents buy Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Taz-Mania.
