Main Page
Welcome to the personal web site of Alexander Krivács Schrøder. If you've come here to learn about me, see my about me page. If you're looking for my blog, (everybody's got one, right?) it's called news on this site. Finally, I'd like you to see my rules page, just because. It's not rules for you, the visitor, it's rules for me, the site owner.
If you've never used Wikipedia or any other wiki before, I just thought you should know — A blue link means that a page exists, while a red link means a page does not exist. If you find red links anywhere, it's very likely that it's a page that I'm planning on making, but that I haven't made yet. If the link looks like a typo, however, it's likely that the page exists, and that I was just not paying enough attention when I made the link.
I've re-created this site many times before, but this is the very last time I should need to create this site from scratch.
First, I've decided to use somebody else's software to run it, because although I love programming, programming the backend of a website doesn't make sense when its intent is only to contain content, and not have any special non-standard features. I went for MediaWiki, the same software that runs Wikipedia, because it is very configurable, and not so high-level that I can't still change things if I want to.
Second, I made the rules page. On my previous attempts, I didn't clearly specify what I wanted from my site, and from time to time, things would conflict, and I would just end up trashing the whole thing. The rules are there to remind me what I am allowed to do, and as you can see, if you look at them, they are very liberal rules, as they should be.
If you're looking for something else, you'll find what's available on my site in the menu on your left.
